Transition-credit RAPM
Our multi-season RAPM rates isolated offense and defense. Each season's rating counts every season up to it. Transition is the value of carrying the puck out of one zone and into the next. It is ranked in its own column.
Our WAR and RAPM split credit among the players on the ice, separating each player from linemates and opponents. So a star who plays with other stars can rank lower than plus-minus suggests. That is the model declining to give one player credit for a whole line, not an error. GAR %ile follows the chosen season and ranks forwards and defensemen together. Off and Def %ile use multi-season pooled RAPM, each row using every season up to it. Off %ile is isolated offense. It ranks only skaters with an offense rating. Trans %ile ranks puck moving by season and position. The penalty-kill part of GAR also uses earlier seasons. Power-play and penalty-kill numbers rest on far fewer minutes. Treat them as a rough guide.
